Snowmobile ride on the mountain with ice-fishing! |
DAY-TRIP

This tour offers a great experience of the traditional outdoor life on the Finnmarksvidda. We drive snowmobiles up to the mountain and lakes. We serve coffee and try our hand at ice-fishing while sitting on reindeer skins. We lower our line through a hole in the ice and wait for the fish to bite. If it gets cold, we light the fire in the lavvu (Sami herdsmen’s tent) and take a coffee break. Good stories from the area are best told around the camp fire.

A unique combo package! The tour starts with a snowmobile safari across the fjord ice and on the mountain. We continue across the bare mountain, down into the lush valley and end up on a sandy beach by the mighty Barents Sea! But that’s not the end of the tour. After a bite to eat near King Oscar II’s Chapel, we visit a kennel en route back to the resort. On arrival at the resort, bathing is next on the programme! Don’t despair, we will ensure a comfortable dip in the icy water wearing survival suits. The day’s highlight is a world renowned delicacy – fresh King crab!
